I'm comfortable here as both a warden and inmate, or a whatever-they-call-them, initiates and something. My weapons are here, my family is here. I like it on this ship and I knew a long time ago I wasn't going to 'get' to be alive again.

If you honestly think there's a chance for you to get out, I'll demote myself.

What's the plan?

We need to get likeminded magic users to help us get to the heart of the ship. We start communicating with it.

And...failing that, we break shit until we get someone's attention.

All right, well. I have a magic whip. Sypha might be out if she hears this is going to demote me. There's a Jonathan Strange here who's a powerful mage but his whole deal is fixing the ship, not making it worse.

They have deals that were interrupted. And Adrian's missing Hunter, and his dad. Won't want to give them up easily.

Anyway, like you said; no one leaves here, right? Could be years. Longer.

If they're counting on the Deacon to grant them a deal, yeah... I wouldn't hold my breath.

But then again, we're plotting to go piss off a minor deity.

What are their deals, anyway?

Adrian's is to lock Hell up so that nothing else can come through it. Probably pissing off God and the Devil in the process.

And Sypha's is to bring everyone back from the dead, including people currently in Hell, so I'm not really drunk enough to figure out how to rectify two stupid, contradicting deals with a faceless fucking entity.

I'm ambitious but that comes with a lot of consequences. That's a tall order. [One he wouldn't be comfortable making. Of course Trevor Belmont's girlfriend would.]

It's a holiday where families get together for an extravagant feast. Ostensibly it's to be grateful together for everything you have.

In practice it's gluttony with a lot of arguing with your extended family. It's my favorite holiday, except I haven't seen my human family in almost twenty years. I keep threatening to bring Alec around to meet them, but I don't really have the patience for them.

Having you, Sypha, and Adrian around, though? I could listen to Sypha and Alec gang up on us all night.

It's a nice thought. Don't think it'll have a chance of happening.
