[ It starts with a voicemail message that doesn't get a reply.
"This is Lieutenant Ortega speaking. I'm your new warden, and I'm looking forward to working with you. Let me know when you want to meet."
And then another, some hours later.
"Trevor, Lieutenant Ortega. We need to go over some things. Respond as soon as you have a chance."
And another.
"Pick up your fucking device, Trevor. You know why."
And then she goes to find him. It takes about a day and a half for her to give up on the device - inmates here are treated like they're going to a day spa, even in this time of restriction, and she can't entirely blame him if he's in the middle of something. But after 30 hours of absolute silence, she decides there's no excuse.
So she uses her ONI to find him, one eye glowing an eerie blue-silver as she makes her way through the ship. She's a small woman, hair pulled back in a ponytail, dressed in trousers, a blue shirt, and a blazer. The unnatural light in her iris disappeares when she finds him. ]
Trevor Belmont?
[ She doesn't sound happy. ]

Lieutenant Ortega.
[ Kristin puts both hands flat on the table, not quite a slam but close, and looms. (Maybe looms. It works at home, anyway - she's short, but he's sitting, and a take-no-shit presence does a lot to make up for her size. But it might work better in the far-flung future.) ]

After a talk with Lark, Zack heads off to find Trevor. He hasn't even met the man yet, and he's already a pain in the ass.
It takes a bit, but eventually he does track Trevor down.
"Trevor Belmont?"

"Trevor Belmont?"
Zack doesn't look impressed. He keeps his tone neutral, though.
"Small ship. I'm Zack."
They've seen each other before, in passing at least.
"Sorry, but I'm gonna have to ask you to come with me."

Zack isn’t happy with him, but he does try to be professional, at least.
“To Zero.”
He lets that sink in for a second since it doesn’t look like he’s fully awake.
“There’s been several other reports of you attacking people both before and during the port. Since that’s the case, I think it’s best for everyone right now if you spend a little time down there.”

Well, at least he admits it.
Zack simply watches him with calm expectation.
“The cell block area.”

Zack looks like a regular human. A fit one who’s seen some action, if the scar on his cheek is any indication. The only tell that he might be different is that fact that his blue eyes are too bright to be natural.
“Well, apart from the fact that you just admitted to it, yeah, that pretty much sums it up.”

Well. That's a whole lot of weapons he's going to have to confiscate, isn't it?
Zack, of course, is ready. He doesn't get into a fighting stance, but when the knives come hurtling towards him, Zack dodges them with beyond human speed. He doesn't need magic for this -- or at least, he's not planning on using it.
His movements fluid, quick, and efficient, he's after Trevor in a fraction of a second. Using his speed, he'll aim to close the gap rapidly so he can throw a punch at the man's face. He'd rather end this quickly than drag it out.

Damn, the poor books. Jon's going to have a coronary when he sees this mess.
Zack darts away from the falling bookshelf, and when he circles back around to attack Trevor, this time he feints. It looks like he's angling to punch him again, but he drops down at the last second to slam into his legs.
Maybe if he was here for something other than business, he'd banter back -- but he has a job to do.

Throwing books…good grief.
Zack dodges them all, a brief flicker of annoyance on his face. If this keeps up, the entire library is going to be trashed. Jon doesn’t need that kind of headache so when Trevor runs up onto a bookshelf, Zack refuses to follow him.
He’s not going to play this game.

Zack rolls his eyes.
“What and encourage more destruction of the library?”
Jon has enough bullshit on his plate. He doesn’t need this.
“I’ll make you a deal. We stop fighting now and walk to the Enclosure. No funny business or fighting on the way. After we get there and program the settings, we settle this. Sound fair?”
